Worldwise
Worldwise: A Showcase of Skills in Front-End Development
Worldwise is a beautifully crafted app that features a pure CSS layout and a functional world map powered by the OpenStreetMap API. The app allows users to visually track their travels by adding locations directly on the map. Once logged in using a simple "fake" login system, users can add destinations they've visited and write descriptions to document their trips.
The app is built using modern React features, including the Context API for efficient state management, React Router for smooth navigation, and custom hooks to simplify and reuse logic. Users can interact with the map by clicking to add destinations, entering comments about their travels, and enjoying a straightforward and enjoyable experience.

To support the application’s backend, I deployed it on Render.com. Please note that due to the limitations of the free-tier hosting plan, the backend may take up to 50 seconds to deploy when the app is first launched. Despite this, the app remains fully functional once the server is up and running.
This project demonstrates my technical skills in front-end development, API integration, and building responsive, user-friendly interfaces. With Worldwise, I’ve combined clean code architecture, advanced React techniques, and practical deployment strategies to create an engaging and technically sound application.
